About Me

Maria Berglund Rantén - BSc Hons (MBANT)
My special areas of interest include anti-aging, hormonal imbalances, digestive disorders, weight management, insomnia, and pre/post-natal nutrition. I am qualified to treat medical conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and the management of diabetes. If needed, I will arrange for diagnostic testing to find out the cause of your symptoms, either with a private laboratory or with your GP.

Part of my job is educating clients – I will advise you on where and how to shop for food, how to read labels, different cooking techniques, the importance of the environment and toxins and explain how dietary and lifestyle changes can lead to better health and vitality. I want you to feel empowered and make the right choices.

I believe that eating should be an enjoyable and satisfying experience. Many people probably think that seeing a Nutritional Therapist means cutting out all “bad” foods and only eating rabbit food. This is far from the truth. It is often more a case of varying your diet to include many new and exciting foods rather than cutting out foods. Thus, healthy eating becomes satisfying and enjoyable!

As part of the consultation, I will provide you with a tailored dietary and supplement program as well as support during and in-between consultations.

Corporate work: I do a lot of corporate work and travel to clients’ offices. The treatment protocols are designed to optimise the health, quality of life, and productivity of employees. There are several benefits of nutrition in the workplace. It can for instance reduce sickness absence, increase energy levels, increase concentration, reduce stress levels, and in general create a healthier employee and a more productive work environment.

I am a qualified and experienced Nutritional Therapist, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Therapy from Westminster University. I am a member of British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and fully insured to practise. I practice at Kingyo Therapy Suites on Spring Street, close to Paddington station.
